The time sometimes deepens the wounds.
. ᴇ ɴ ɪ ɢ ᴍ ᴀ
They say that time heals. I did believe it. Little did I know how blind I was. May be what time does is cover the ripped using that paper tape, which could and will rip apart anytime and there’s nothing the time can do about it. But what hurts more is that despite everything we do to heal, they do leave a scar. Some carry it with a brave symbol for over powering their short comings while some scratch the healing scars as they are too afraid to look through it, or perhaps that scar doesn’t let us get past it. Because that scar is more of a memory reminding us of the things we did and the things we should have done. Though, I admire the people who leave these scars while they move on with their business as if nothing has ever happened. But the ones nursing their lost time are still showing off that bright smile despite breaking down on the inside, every moment.

.dotProject
A traditional post where in the writer could write anything from poetry to prose to even a single line. Basically it is a prompt based post, but no restrictions whatsoever. Since I am kicking it off, I would be starting off with a couple of posts with will of the above format. My current format involves a quote and a bit of a passage around it, just to make a better sense of the abstract. If anyone wants to take up the project, please be my guest. Do let me know so that I can check your post as well.

I firmly believe in the quote–
“Time heals everything”.
I started believing in it two years back. You know! 🙃Exams and all!
But I know some wounds never heal, they just get buried deep inside us somewhere. Par ye hua nahi ab takk mere saath haha so can’t say much!
Smile☺

I believe the same too. Having experienced it over and over.
All I’m trying to do here is in some rare cases, time fails us. It could never ever happen, but just putting out a possibility that sometimes, it might not.
Well, thank you for your thoughts. 😊

Wounds may heal physically, but they still remain internally. It marks our heart which we can’t remove.

Exactly.
And no time in the world could heal it.

The blessing and the curse is life demands changes. When you choose to listen to the demands of life, you heal. So I believe that time is like an invisible hand, and yes, it comes down to us.

Touché.
Well said.
Having said that when Life demands, are we in control of our life anymore?
Time is a factor… like a journey… between two points, what we do is entirely up to us, per say. And yes, it does come come out as an invisible hand and to us so as to what we make of it.
Thank you. 😊

Most certainly we are in control of our life. We are not driven by life’s demands, but by are own desires.
We can always choose to march ahead, or just ignore and again, march ahead. Also, you can be completely healed and have a bitter aftertaste of memories. You can make peace with it.

Touche. Well said, again. 😀
(Out of curiosity how old are you again?)
Yes, the choice is completely ours to make. Well that is a percievable outcome when we diligently make attempt to heal the scars and eventually make peace with it.

I think its in our hands, in a way – Time does heal if we allow it to. Don’t visit a wound too often – that’ll dry it out quicker than you think. 🙂
LikeLiked by 3 people
Yeah. It is in our hands.
But more often even though it is in our hands, even though how badly they hurt, they just don’t go away. It’s not the physical scars. They tend to be mental… more like scars on our soul. Heal they might, but it can’t be for sure, and definitely not the same for everyone.
Thank you for your thoughts. 🙂

Of course. Of course!
Mental wounds and physical as well, tend to leave scars which may never heal. I was referring to how Time may help cope with it, if not completely recover from it.
But having said that – physical pain or the loss of a loved one …… is so very personal, isn’t it??
Thanks for engaging with my reply. It helps to clarify thoughts. 🙂

All we can hope is that things get better with time. Or the scars to fade.
It is personal, indeed.
Ofcourse. 😊

Some scars will stay forever.. just like when you forgive someone, you don’t really forget what happened, right? It stays in your memory.. unless amnesia comes along.. though we have the choice to nurture it as hatred/revenge or as an inspiration.. 🙂 well written post!! And thought provoking..

Exactly.
Some scars refuse to go away. No matter how much time goes by or how much we want to avenge/nurture or let go.
Thank you. 😊

No they will stay there..unless we are talking about physical scars that can be done by plastic surgery.. but emotional and mental scars.. they are hard to remove from memories.. have you heard about the saying, “I will forget what you said, but I will never forget how you made me feel”?

Ok, I didn’t think of plastic surgery. Now that you have told, need yo book an appointment.
Yes, mental and emotional are hard to forget.
No, I haven’t heard that. Bit h understand what it is.

Ahaha.. I am happy with whatever scars I’ve got so thank you, I probably refuse plastic surgery.. haha.. 😁
e.g. someone verbally abuse X, X will not remember all the words (literally) as time passes by. But the feeling X felt when someone said that, it will stay forever..
